Destitute Of Truth

John 1:14: And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

John 14:6: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Jesus is full of truth. He is truth. Without Him, men are destitute of it.

1 Timothy 6:3-5: If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; 4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, 5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

John 17:17: Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

John 8:32: And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

The Bible is truth. Without it men are not free.

If men are to have all truth they must have Jesus in their hearts and study the Bible.

Genesis 24:27: And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of my master Abraham, who hath not left destitute my master of his mercy and his truth: I being in the way, the LORD led me to the house of my master*s brethren.

We are in desperate need of truth. The God of Abraham has not left us destitute of the truth. He offers us the truth in His Son and the truth in His Word. What are we doing with them?
